I wrote a poem several years ago inspired by my personal struggle with accepting myself and what God says about me. I believe that we are more valuable than some of us recognize, but even then we cheapen ourselves. We allow others to treat us beneath our worth and accept their perceptions of us. Yes, we are flawed, but the beauty found in Jesus is that God sees and God loves us. It’s IRRATIONAL. It’s beautiful.
When I discovered this truth, I accepted the parts of me that were unpretty because I knew my Father wasn’t surprised by it. But even more important, it made me want to do better. It made me want to extend grace to others.
To all my princesses. . .
