For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. (Romans 8:15)
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. (1John 4:18)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)
So, here goes. I’ve been going through a rough patch. I’m dealing with fear of the unknown, fear of unmet expectations, fear of failing, fear of the prospect of disappointment. But after much prayer and meditation, I’ve come to the conclusion that God didn’t give me a spirit of fear, but gave me His nature in the New Birth. And if you are a believer, He did it for you, too. I pray that you know that even in the scary moments, God is with you, God is in you, and God is for you.
Here’s a song by Kirk Franklin that’s been helping me get through. I pray it encourages you. Peace and the Love of the Father to all of you.
